To plan, design, analyze the projects related to communication and information security of our university information processing projects, to prepare the necessary technical specifications for the procurement and to bring the projects into implementation phase,
To create "LAN" (Local Area Network) between the center and other units and to create an intranet by connecting these "LAN" (NEU / NET "WAN"
To monitor the structure of our university's information systems, which is based on a relational database, under an integrated structure and ensure that users share information over a secure infrastructure,
To make computer user accounts, to do all kinds of operations related to e-mail and internet account, to monitor and control the internet traffic, to provide uninterrupted publishing of the websites of our university, to make updates, to make infiltration tests periodically,
To make the configuration of network devices (Router, Switch, Firewall, IPS etc.) and to update the operating systems and software periodically,
To develop standards related to security in our university computer network and systems, to determine principles in terms of confidentiality, password, authority, responsibility, to take measures, to follow its implementation and to provide necessary coordination,
To investigate and present alternatives on solution approach related to network systems decided to provide, develop and update the continuity of existing network systems
To provide a solution approach to move the database management system or databases to other hardware platforms when necessary, create and implement migration plans
To determine the system server computer needs; to take precautions to ensure that the system operates in a healthy and safe manner, immediately to inform the Presidency of the deficiencies identified,
To protect information confidentiality, security and personal privacy; to take necessary precautions to protect the server and user computers against all kinds of unauthorized access and similar threats from inside and outside,
To plan, design and establish / make them establish and maintain uninterrupted wired / wireless data communication lines, to perform improvement studies,
To safeguard and secure the information stored in the database on the system, to take necessary measures and to supervise, to ensure that the data is taken in the determined periods and to keep the received backups securely,
To coordinate the issues related to the network structure of the systems, to supervise the usage and the service provided, to make corrections and arrangements when necessary,
To provide web space, domain name (Domain) to units, support V6 internet access to existing systems.
