Hardware and Technical Support Branch Directorate

  1. To carry out the repair and maintenance of network (internet) cables in our university buildings, to carry out the opening, closing and transportation of internet lines. To report the failure of data lines and follow the situation,
  2. To make technological project analysis of all kinds of computer and peripheral devices planned to be taken by our university, to prepare the technical specifications necessary for procurement and to bring the projects to the application phase,
  3. To keep records of the use of fixtures, hardware and equipment, To distribute newly acquired computer and peripheral devices to relevant units
  4. To install all kinds of computer systems or to make them installed,
  5. To provide the staff working in our university and affiliated units training of installation of computers used in the institution, preventive maintenance and repairs etc,
  6. To control and follow the implementation of the services provided from the sources other than the University by the maintenance-repair agreements, to make the payments related to this matter timely,
  7. To keep an inventory of the computing equipments and hardware used in our university,
  8. To install, maintain or repair computers, printers and other hardware products used in our university and provide technical support.
  9. To establish and operate an IP telephone connection between our university units, to develop all kinds of communication standards in IP telephone systems and communication fields of our university, to send and implement application instructions to users,
  10. To develop security policies related to all users and computers in the network, to install Operating system and other programs and to make periodic antivirus updates,
  11. To establish minimum standards of computers and peripherals that will be provided to our university units, to conduct compliance checks /to make it checked,
  12. To keep the warranty and defective list of used equipment supplied by the units in the database and to follow / make a healthy follow-up,
  13. To do / give or support when necessary, such as periodic maintenance, control, failure, new purchase, preparation of technical specifications, etc. regarding uninterruptible power supply, system, infrastructure devices used in system rooms and network services,
  14. To provide video conference and similar hardware support for meetings, presentations, ceremonies and similar events organized by our university.
  15. To do other duties given by the Head of Department.
